I hold a Master’s degree in Acupucture from the Traditional Acupuncture Institute /Tai Sophia in Laurel, Maryland. I earned my RN diploma from the McQueen Gibbs-Willis School of Nursing, and my BSN from the University of Maryland School of Nursing. I am nationally certified as an Acu-Detox Specialist, specializing in addictions. Bringing over 12 years of nursing experience to my acupuncture practice, I believe that my nursing background enables me to see each patient through the eyes of both the Western and Eastern medical traditions, allowing for a truly complimentary approach to treatment.
I use a mixture of Five Element acupuncture and the Balance Method, treating specific symptoms as well as the entire person body, mind and spirit. I believe that all symptoms have physical, emotional and spiritual components working to incorporate each level of being into my treatment planning.
I am a member of the Talbot County Chamber of Commerce and the Maryland Acupuncture Society. I have office hours at Evergreen Cove on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, and offer home visits at locations throughout the mid-shore.
